A Local Treasure

Located high above the Hunter River, the Hunter River Reserve provides spectacular views over Luskintyre and Lambs Valley, cradled between Lambs Mountain and the Moonabung Range. But spectacular views aren’t all the reserve has to offer. Containing one of the last remaining stands of intact native vegetation along the Lower Hunter River, endangered vegetation communities, a host of native wildlife, and direct river access via historic sandstone steps and pathways, the reserve is a treasure trove of environmental and heritage features.

Heritage Talk and Biodiversity Walk

To find out more about the reserve’s unique and fascinating history and environment and of current efforts to restore this local treasure, come along to a FREE ‘Heritage Talk and Biodiversity Walk’ to be held on 8th September 2018.
