Community Climate Change
During 2009-10 HCCREMS worked with a number of council based community environmental educators in our region to share resources and prepare, test and produce a simply presented, informative and visually attractive set of presentations that can be used by anyone who wishes to communicate the complexity of climate change issues to a community audience.
The resulting resource aims to provide educators with a consistent and accurate base of information in regard to climate change generally, as well as more specifically to the Hunter, Central and Lower North Coast region.
The final presentation product is in MS Power Point format, and can be used in its entirety but it has also been designed to a modular format - allowing flexibility to meet your event and audience's particular needs.
The presentation covers the following topics:
Part 1: The Basics
Part 2: Weather and Climate
Part 3: The BIG Picture
Part 4: Global Climatic Impacts
Part 5: Australia's Energy Use and GHG Impacts
Part 6: Climate Change in Australia
Part 7: Hunter, Central and Mid North Coast
Part 8: Actions
Part 9: Reducing Impacts
