Rural Residential Living

A Guide to Rural Residential Living is designed especially for those living on rural residential properties. It aims to bring together in one central location a range of useful information and resources to assist rural landowners enjoy the rural lifestyle they have chosen and to achieve the personal goals set for their property. These could include raising livestock, attracting wildlife, growing your own food or recreating a personal patch of the Australian bush. In particular, the Guide aims to ensure these activities complement the natural environment and local community.

The resources included in the Guide have been developed by a range of government agencies, local councils, community organisations and others, however they have not previously been brought together in one readily accessible location. You can access this via the website below.

The guide was originally developed in 2006, and was recently revised in 2011.
