Regional Compliance Network
The Regional Compliance Network is a facilitated forum and project working group facilitated by HCCREMS to assist with the implementation of the Environmental Compliance Projects. Staff from member councils are encouraged to join and participate in the many events and training opportunities offered to Network members.
Network meetings are held typically held 2-3 times per year, and are a mix of:
- project updates from HCCREMS and councils,
- networking opportunities for council compliance officers, development assessors and other compliance officers,
- project specific workshops on specific issues identified by councils.
Recently network meetings have been used to highlight key resources developed and commence discussion and consultation on issues such as funding options available to resource environmental compliance activities.
Network members, who are also from HCCREMS councils, have access to a secure website environment which provides access to:
- Documents from past events, meetings, training courses and workshops that, for a variety of reasons, are only available to member council staff.
- Network member contacts details, enabling direct networking opportunities (included only with member permission).
- Members only resources - such as draft resources, consultation documents or discussion documents not available for general distribution.
Although the network is primarily for officers from member councils, officers from other regulatory agencies are encouraged to register your interest to attend network events when appropriate. For further information on the network, or to register, please
